Hello, I am Julien
I work as a project manager, I'm a parent, and I’m an expat living in Paris, France.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to France wasn't part of the long-term plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt more complicated than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built CivorTalenMeyru
Most information online was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical guidance based on real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site provides:
- Hands-on insight from living in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when real changes occur
This site is not:
- Not an official tourism resource
- Not a paid review platform
- Not just a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
We’ll remain in France and continue the learning process. As long as the information stays useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Julien
